Jimmy Pittman

EARLY LIFE

Jimmy Pittman grew up in the northern reaches of Greenville County, South Carolina — a rugged stretch of hill country long known as "The Dark Corner." It was there, in that storied corner of the Carolinas, that his love of music took root.

As a boy, Jimmy watched his father and uncle play for hours on end, their fingers moving effortlessly across old guitar strings. He didn't need formal lessons. Three chords on a weathered guitar were all it took — and he's been pickin' and grinning ever since.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

In the late 1960s, Jimmy helped form a band that would become a fixture of the local music scene: The Country Masters. Playing outdoor venues across the region during the height of country music's golden era, the band built a loyal following and left Jimmy with memories he still carries today.

Decades later, his lifelong friend and fellow founding member Phil Lister reached out with a simple idea — bring The Country Masters back. Jimmy didn't hesitate. Now back on stage playing rhythm guitar and handling vocals, he's making music again with the people who matter most.

As Jimmy puts it: "Yes, we're on the road again — making music with my friends. Just like Willie."
