About the Country Masters

Some bands finish their run. Others wait for the right moment to come back. The Country Masters are proof that great music never really goes away.

Originally formed in 1970, the Country Masters built a loyal following across the Carolinas and beyond, delivering the kind of tight, crowd-pleasing performances that keep people coming back night after night. Now, more than five decades later, they're back — and they brought the goods with them.

The resurrected Country Masters feature Phil Lister on lead guitar and vocals, Parker Lister on bass and vocals, Wayne Brannon holding down the drums, and Jimmy Pittman on rhythm guitar and vocals. With original members back in the fold alongside fresh energy, the band sounds as strong as ever.

Their set list spans the classic rock and country rock landscape — from "Take It to the Limit" and "Call Me the Breeze" to "Sharp Dressed Man," "Proud Mary," and everything in between. These are songs that defined generations, played by musicians who helped shape the sound of the region.

The Country Masters are available for festivals, private events, clubs, and corporate functions throughout the Carolinas and surrounding areas, including Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Asheville, Charlotte, and beyond.

Some things are worth the wait.

The Run-Aways

When the boots come off and the rock 'n' roll kicks in.

Meet The Run-Aways — the wild side of the Country Masters, unleashed.

Same four guys. Whole different animal.

While the Country Masters have been making the Carolinas two-step since 1970, The Run-Aways take those same seasoned musicians and turn the clock back to the golden age of American rock 'n' roll. We're talking the raw energy of the '50s, the British Invasion swagger of the '60s, and the hard-driving classic rock of the '70s — all delivered by a band that has spent decades perfecting the art of working a crowd.

Phil Lister, Parker Lister, Wayne Brannon, and Jimmy Pittman didn't just grow up listening to this music —  And it shows.

From Chuck Berry to Creedence, from The Beatles to Bad Company, The Run-Aways bring an authenticity to classic rock and oldies that no tribute band can fake. This is muscle memory. This is the real thing.

Whether you're booking a festival stage, a private event, a club night, or a corporate function, The Run-Aways deliver a high-energy, crowd-pleasing show that works for every generation in the room. No steel guitars required.

Perfect for venues, promoters, and event planners looking for a versatile live act with serious pedigree — without the hat and boots.
